1. Who We Are

Banker's Note is operated by Note Holdings LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and firm name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from your Google account.

Memo data: We store the memos you generate, including matter names, client names, account types, and memo content. This data is stored to provide memo history, dashboard statistics, and the ability to retrieve past memos.

Firm branding: If you configure firm branding (firm name, city, phone, email, logo), we store this information to display on your generated memos.

Payment information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data.

Usage data: We may collect basic usage analytics such as pages visited, features used, and session duration to improve the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate and improve the Service, generate memos on your behalf, display your firm branding, communicate with you about your account, and process payments. We do not use your data to train machine learning models.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share data with service providers who help us operate the Service (such as Supabase for database hosting, Vercel for web hosting, and Stripe for payment processing). These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and process data only as necessary to provide their services to us.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and row-level security on our database. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information and memo data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights

You may access, update, or delete your personal information at any time through your account settings. You may request a complete export of your data or ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@bankersnote.io.

8. Cookies

We use minimal cookies necessary to operate the Service, including authentication tokens and theme preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is designed for licensed professionals and is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through the Service. The "Effective" date at the top reflects when the policy was last updated.
